Your wedding is one of the most special days in your life. So many elements go to making it just right for you. One of them is classic cars. We have been providing weddings transport since 2017. Over that time we have seen trends change as couples increasingly have everything at the same venue and no longer need a posh car for its traditional role of transport.
That does not have to mean abandoning the car. There are other options.
1. Static Display with a twist and pictures
If you would like a Wedding Car for your pictures but are finding it hard to justify, when you are getting married at the reception venue and do not need it for transport, why not hire it for Static Display only? We will bring the car to your venue and take it away again after the hire.
A 3 hour hire package, would enable the car to be on site before your guests arrive and be available for photographs after the ceremony. We have a number of dedicated wedding cars.
The twist is that, if you book one of the MGB's or the Mustang, the two of you can jump in after the ceremony and have a short drive for a few moments "alone time" in a busy day. You could also choreograph this with your photographer for a wave off photo opportunity. If there is space at the venue, you could drive between an avenue of your cheering guests, before returning to join them for the drinks reception.
2. Self drive hire
If you hire from us there is no need to worry about how to return the car during the wedding. We have various solutions.
A. Hire the car for the day, collecting it from us on the morning of your wedding. We can pick up the car when you no longer need it, so you can continue to enjoy your wedding day without worrying about returning the car to us. Our MGB has been used by the groom to drive himself to the ceremony, and also by the bride’s father to take his daughter to the church, with the groom driving his new wife on to the reception.
B. Alternatively, why not hire it for 48 hour over a three a day period? This has proved to be very popular allowing, as it does, the groom to collect the car during the afternoon before the wedding and return it the afternoon following the wedding. This enables the groom to enjoy the car with his best man and the happy couple to have a leisurely drive, plus perhaps a spot of lunch, before dropping the car back to us the day after the wedding.
3. Best of both worlds
If you like the idea of driving a classic car but feel that it would add a level of stress you would rather not have on your wedding day, we have thought of that too.
Hire the 48 hour over 3 days option on another date, when life is a little quieter and we will provide the car either just for static display or as the static with a twist mentioned with a significant discount on the day of the wedding.
You could, for example, celebrate your first wedding anniversary with a weekend away driving your wedding car.
