Self Drive Hire Car Charges
Charges
We have tried to produce a clear and logical charging structure. Our fixed daily rate does not change with the day of the week or time of year.
The daily hire is for the period from 9am to 7pm. For multiple day hires, the period is from 9am on the first day until 7pm on the last day.
Day Hire
Our daily rate charges (9am to 7pm) are as follows:

For a full 24 hour period of hire the charges are as follows:

48 hour SPECIAL OFFER
We also offer a 48 hour over 3 days option. Here you would collect the car at, for example, 2pm on Friday and return it to us at 2pm on Sunday.

We also offer a 72 hour over 4 days option. This is ideal for a long weekend where you would collect the car at, for example, 2pm on Friday and return it to us at 2pm on Monday.

These prices include comprehensive insurance for one driver. We can add additional drivers for £30 per driver. You also have the benefit of unlimited mileage within mainland Britain. For an additional charge we can deliver and collect the car if you wish.
You can hire the car for as long as you wish and bespoke packages can be discussed for periods longer than 7 days.
Restrictions
There are several restrictions on use that are applied by the insurers. These include:-
1. The car can only be hired for social, domestic and pleasure use.
2. The car cannot be used for racing, rallies, pace making, competitions or any other motor sport event. This includes organised road runs whether run commercially or by a car club.
3. The car can only be used in England, Wales or Scotland.
Fuel
The car is hired with a full tank of fuel and is to be returned the same way. To save you the need to top the car up, we can agree a charge in advance based on anticipated distance to be driven by you. If the mileage is exceeded an additional charge would be made at the end of the hire to cover the additional fuel.
Delivery and collection of the car
Normally the car is collected from us and returned to our base at the end of the hire. We do offer a delivery and collection service at additional cost, which will vary according to the round trip distance involved and is calculated at £1.50 per mile. If you collect the car from us, you can leave your vehicle with us (at your own risk) while the car is on hire.
Insurance requirements
The driver(s) must be aged between 25 and 77 and must have a reasonably clean driving licence (If you need further information, please ring). The insurers may agree to persons aged up to 79 but we would need to obtain their consent to this so it would be sensible to make that enquiry before booking the car for a driver who will be 78 or 79 at the date of hire.
A full driving licence must have been held for at least 3 years.
